21-0327-SSE-E – Different Cultural Backgrounds, Different Problems

In this session we’ll have a look at how cultural issues can interfere with learning and how we can help learners improve their language skills by understanding their backgrounds. We’ll also review how L1 interference can hinder or benefit learning and compare different varieties of English in order to raise awareness of some of the most popular dialects of English.
